Quetta :A one-day orientation session was held regarding the health screening intervention program in the primary schools of Balochistan.

Ms Gulalai Jogezai, Project Coordinator of Health Screening Intervention, welcomed the guests and introduced the theme of the event. Expressing her views, She said that initiatives regarding health screening is the need of the hour. This project is proof of our commitment to raise healthy, educated and empowered generations. All stakeholders have to play their part for the success of the project

CEO PPHI Hameedullah Nasr presented the overall picture of Balochistan in terms of health. He said that the province of Balochistan is going through a very bad situation in the health and education sector. He emphasized on the fact that there is a dire need for awareness especially to deal with health problems. He assured his support for the implementation of the project and its success. From the orientation session, CFO UNICEF Maryam Darwish, Education Specialist Sehrish Nagi, Education Support Program Manager Naqeeb Khilji, CPD Program Manager Muzamil Panezai and other important persons expressed their views regarding the school health screening project. Recommendations were made.
