QUETTA: The governing body of Quetta Development Authority (QDA) has approved the projects of establishing a school and park in Takhtani Housing Scheme.
The approval of the same was given during a meeting of the GDA’s governing body chaired by Chief Minister, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo through video link here on Saturday.
The meeting reviewed the ongoing and proposed projects of the QDA and made certain important decisions.
Those who were in attendance at the meeting were included: Parliamentary Secretary for QDA, Ms. Shahina Kakar, members of provincial assembly, Qadir Nayal, Akhtar Hussain Langove, Ahmed Nawaz Baloch, Secretary Urban Planning and Development, Manzoor Zehri, Director General QDA, Muzammil Hussain Halipoto, Administrator Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, Abdul Jabbar Baloch, Station Commander Quetta and other concerned high ups.
The DG QDA briefed the meeting about the related matters and agenda points.
During the meeting, it was decided that if the land was made available for the project of school in Sirki Kalan then it would be established in Sirki Kalan instead of Takhtani scheme.
It was decided to present the matter of regularization of 18 employees appointed in QDA on emergent basis in the board again.
Moreover, it was also decided that the projects of farms valley and orchard scheme at Hanna bypass under joint venture would be made conditional with the verification of concerned documents.
Similarly, the meeting approved the leasing of the land for development of playground in the Girls Degree College satellite Town. It was also decided that no constructions would be made on the aforementioned land and it would be used only for the playground. In addition to this, the meeting also approved the proposed policy of the conditions regarding sale and purchase of plots in the QDA Enclave.
Meanwhile, the meeting approved the revised map of the iron and timber depot market. While on the other hand, the meeting reviewed the matter of shifting of the Shalkot police station and provision of funds for the new building.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister directed to defer the proposal of creation of new vacancies and provide facilities in Sariab and Kuchlak through the available resources and manpower of QDA.
He said that the steps are being taken to enhance capacity of the QDA and we have to make it self-sufficient.
