Lahore, July 8: Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Apex Committee held a meeting to review the National Action Plan and the overall security situation in the province. The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Syed Amer Raza, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Inspector General Police Dr. Usman Anwar, and others. The committee discussed the security plan for Muharram, measures to prevent potential floods during the monsoon season, and the security of Chinese nationals working on CPEC and non-CPEC projects. The committee also reviewed the progress of the Punjab Safe City project and overall security measures. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of ensuring peace and security in the province.
