Public Hearing of FCA of K-Electric for the month of April 2023 and Quarterly Adjustment ending March 2023
• KE has requested an FCA of Rs.0.489/kWh on account of monthly Fuel Price Adjustment pertaining to April 2023 and Quarterly adjustment of Rs. 5.170/kWh for the quarter ending March 2023 (Jan – Mar, 2023).

• Advertisement for information of general public and all stakeholders in the matter was published in the newspapers on May 19, 2023.

• The public hearing in the matter was held today.

• The hearing was presided by the NEPRA Authority comprising of Chairman NEPRA, Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi, Member (Licensing), Engr. Maqsood Anwar Khan, Member (Technical & Finance), Mr. Mathar Niaz Rana and Member (Law), Ms. Amina Ahmed. The same was also attended by large number of representatives and senior officials of K-Electric, NTDC/NPCC, business community, Journalists and general public etc.

• The net FCA for the month of April 2023 as per NEPRA’s preliminary calculation is negative Rs. 0.0472/kWh (Relief of Rs. 72 million approx.).

• Regarding quarterly adjustment, NEPRA will carry-out its due diligence after scrutiny of record / information provided by K-Electric.

• The Authority heard the petitioner and will decide the matter after due diligence and considering the comments of all stakeholders.
