Quetta, Oct. 18,
The Provincial Ombudsman, Nazar Muhammad Baloch, has resolved a long-standing land dispute in Quetta’s Nauhisar area. Shahina Malik, daughter of Zafarullah Khan, had filed a complaint stating that she and her siblings are rightful heirs to their ancestral land, but the Revenue Department’s staff was reluctant to demarcate and distribute the land despite court orders.
Malik requested the Ombudsman to direct the relevant Revenue staff to take immediate action to divide her father’s property among the heirs. The Ombudsman forwarded the complaint to the Settlement Officer, who presented the record before the Ombudsman.
After a hearing attended by Malik, her sisters, and the Settlement Officer, the heirs agreed to divide the settled land according to court orders and Revenue records. The complainant and her sister will receive their share of the unsettled land as per records.
This resolution ensures justice and relief to the affected family, highlighting the Ombudsman’s role in addressing grievances and promoting rule of law.
