Provincial Ministers and parliamentary secretaries reach Duki; hold fruitful negotiations with protestors

QUETTA: On directives of the Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Provincial Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries visited Duki on Friday afternoon.
They met the bereaved families of those martyred in the terrorism incident occurred in Duki and others lodging protest against the incident.
They held negotiations with the protestors persuading them to end their protest, which were protesting along with the bodies of slain mine workers.
There was consensus between the government delegations and the protestors that they have to work together for prevention of the incidents of terrorism in the province together.
It was decided during the negotiations that the bereaved families of the deceased labourers would be paid Rs. 1.5 million each.
Similarly, the seriously injured labourer would get Rs. 0.5 million while the minor injured would get Rs. 0.25 million.
Meanwhile, the bereaved families left the scene for burial of their dear ones, after successful negotiations.
It may be mentioned here that at least 20 coal mine labourers were killed while seven others got injured in the incident of terrorism in Duki on late night of Thursday.
