Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hassan Murad Directs PUNJMIN to further improve its performance

Lahore  :: Provincial Minister of Minerals Ibrahim Hassan Murad said that due to the best government strategy, Punjab Mineral Development Corporation (Punjmin) became profitable while Punjmin needs to improve its performance. These views were expressed by the provincial minister while presiding over an important meeting in his camp office. In the meeting, the performance of Punjmin was reviewed in detail. While showing a presentation to the provincial minister, MD Punjmin briefed about salt projects, coal projects and Mianwali project. During the briefing, the provincial minister was told that Punjmin is going to digitize its business and is adopting ERP method to solve all the problems, but in this regard IT professionals, mining engineers and accounting experts are required. A summary has been sent to the Chief Minister’s office for relaxation in new recruitments. He requested the provincial minister to help them regarding relaxation on the ban on recruitment. The provincial minister was further informed that while ensuring the implementation of the instructions given in the previous meeting, advertisements were issued in newspapers for tendering from January to March. While the summary of the appointment of the chairman has been sent to the office of the Chief Minister of Punjab. The report of the ten-year revenue comparison was also presented to the provincial minister. The provincial minister Ibrahim Hassan Murad Instructed MD Punjmin to further improve their performance. On this occasion, the provincial minister said that due to the increase in the price of industrial salt, forty crores of rupees came into the government’s treasury and due to the best strategy, the corporation became profitable. Therefore, auction (e-bidding) must be adopted and emphasis should be placed on e-auction to prevent corruption. The provincial minister further directed to ensure transparency in all affairs so that the mines sector can be expanded with the best strategy.
