Provincial Minister for Education Rahila Hamid Khan Durrani highlighted the significance of appreciating freedom and remembering the sacrifices made to achieve it. Speaking at a ceremony organized by the Children’s Academy Trust Quetta to mark Independence Day, she emphasized that the creation of Pakistan was not only in the name of Kalma but also involved Allah’s will.
Minister Durrani expressed her delight at the students’ awareness of the history of independence and the sacrifices made to achieve it. She reminded them that entire villages and families were destroyed, and trains full of corpses were received. Innocent children were brutally martyred in front of their parents, and parents were martyred in front of their children.
The ceremony was attended by special guests, including Director General of Public Relations Mohammad Noor Khetran, Vice Chairman of Children’s Academy Mohammad Asif, Secretary General Abdul Ghaffar Langah, and a large number of students and teachers from various schools.
Minister Durrani’s speech emphasized the need to value freedom and remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for it, as well as their families.
