Provincial Advisor on Climate Change and Environment, Nasim ur Rehman Mullahkhel, has stated that the Department of Environmental Protection will utilize all available resources to improve the lives of citizens and minimize harmful environmental impacts, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Safraz Bugti.
Speaking during a meeting with district officials in Loralai, Mullahkhel emphasized the importance of enforcing standards and regulations to reduce pollution from industrial activities, waste, and emissions, and to protect public health. He urged employees to work diligently to implement the National Environmental Quality Standards and other regulations under the Pakistan Environmental Protection Act 1997.
The Provincial Secretary for Environment, Nadim ur Rehman, was also present on the occasion. Mullahkhel stressed that the department will play a key role in mitigating the adverse effects of environmental pollution and ensuring a sustainable future for the province.
