Landi Kotal,KPK August 25, A protest demonstration was held at the Landi Kotal Sports Ground against the murder of national footballer, Laviad Shah, who was shot dead near the Government High School ground in Landi Kotal yesterday.
The protesters, carrying black flags and placards, demanded justice for the slain footballer and protection for athletes. The placards read “Arrest the killers” and “Government should provide justice and protection to players”.
The protest was attended by a large number of players, including members of the Khyber Sports Club, Players Association, and local youth. Speakers at the protest condemned the murder and criticized the authorities for failing to arrest the killers. They demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and justice for the family of the deceased.
The speakers emphasized that sports tournaments are organized to engage players in positive activities and maintain peace in the region. They vowed not to allow anyone to disrupt the peace and demanded action against those responsible for the murder.
