A women-led company has launched a programme to empower future leaders and women entrepreneurs. The programme aims to connect marketing brilliance and a positive social role to pave the path for a better future.
The programme was launched by The SquarePeg, a digital marketing company, it offered free training to mentees and digital marketing services to three businesses including, Ariana Stylz, Sweet & Savoury, and SAM Accessories. The program also included a corporate cook off arranged by ZarZ kitchen.
SquarePeg’s CEO, Zunaira Omar, said on the occasion that we want to foster entrepreneurial culture and self-employment among the youth.
“I believe that our mentorship programme wasn’t just about guiding the next generation; it’s about igniting the spark of brilliance within them, she added.
Zunaira Omar said that we want to empower youth to shape their destiny and create a better tomorrow together, while emphasising the importance of social impact.
She said that for sustainable development, gender equality and women’s economic empowerment are necessary. Higher female earnings greatly contribute to children’s education and family health, impacting the overall economic growth of a nation, she added.
Speaking at the occasion, Abdullah Khan, Project Head, Ignite National Technology Fund, a body working under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, said that the government is giving high priority to women’s empowerment.
Sustainable economic growth is unthinkable without women’s empowerment, and measures for gender inclusion are the driving factor of social progress and economic growth, he added.
Abdullah Khan said that women’s empowerment is very important for national development and that empowered women are playing a very important role in social and economic development.
We must promote a sense of self-worth in women; they should be free to determine their own choices, which is key to achieving a more peaceful, prosperous world.
He lauded the initiative by The SquarePeg and assured full support in this regard.
