Private Special Economic Zone to be encouraged to boost economic activities, says Chief Minister

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated Balochistan is the suitable region for making investment. He said that private Economic Zone would also be encouraged besides formulation of the special economic zone at the government level.
The Chief Minister was presiding over the meeting about formulation of the private special Economic Zone here on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed in detail the matters about formulation of the private special Economic Zone in the province.
In addition to this, the meeting also discussed potential of the province for investment in different sectors.
The Chief Minister was briefed about the proposed project of the private Economic Zone in Turbat.
Emphasizing upon the formulation of the Economic Zone, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the economic activities would be boosted with the project in Balochistan.
The Chief Minister on the occasion assured that the government would encourage the viable projects for formulation of the private Economic Zone in the province.
He said that the private sector would be provided facilities for promotion of the investment under one-window operation. The private investors would also be extended every possible assistance, adding he assured.
He directed to the Industries Department to issue necessary no objection certificates in different sections at the provincial level without any delay.
The Provincial Minister Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Buledi, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Development, Hafiz Abdul Basit, Principal Secretary, Imran Zarkoon, Secretary Finance, Babar Khan, Secretary Industries, Durra Baloch, Chief Executive Officer of the Nida Private Limited, Muhammad Imran Ikram and Ayesha Rasheed.
