PRESIDENT ZARDARI PAYS TRIBUTE TO MAJOR TUFAIL SHAHEED ON 66TH MARTYRDOM ANNIVERSARY

Islamabad,(independent desk) August 8: President Asif Ali Zardari has paid rich tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, the recipient of Nishan-e-Haider, on his 66th martyrdom anniversary.

In a statement issued by the President’s Press Wing on Thursday, President Zardari said that the nation salutes Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, who laid down his life for the defense of the motherland. He praised Major Tufail’s bravery and said that he set an example of courage and valor.

The President said that the entire nation is proud of its martyrs and will never forget their sacrifices. He prayed for the highest ranks for Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed.

Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed was awarded Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military honor, for his bravery and sacrifice during the 1958 war.
