PPP Reiterates Stance Against Anti-Sindh Projects

Tando Adam, Sept. 18.Sindh – Shakeel Abned Mari, Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) District Sanghar, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to opposing projects harmful to Sindh’s interests.
Speaking at a press conference at Press Club Tando Adam, Mari expressed concerns over the IRSA amendment plan, highlighting the party’s historical stance against anti-Sindh projects. He praised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership and diplomatic skills in inviting all parties to dialogue in the National Assembly.
Mari emphasized the PPP’s unwavering support for Sindh’s rights, recalling Benazir Bhutto’s protests against the Kalabagh dam. He also mentioned the party’s initiatives, including providing solar panels to 200,000 registered beneficiaries through the Benazir Income Support Program, assisting flood victims in rebuilding homes, and establishing a committee to support individuals affected by the Rohri Canal issue.
Other PPP leaders present included Imran Dhamrah, Akhtar Hussain Zardari, Akhter Nizamani, Sajid Jaffri, Mir Murtaza Dahru, and Achar Saand.
The PPP has consistently demonstrated its dedication to Sindh’s well-being, and Mari’s statements reinforced the party’s resolve to protect the province’s interests.
