POOR MOBILE SERVICE AND SOCIAL MEDIA DISRUPTION: NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TAKES NOTICE

Islamabad, August 14: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Information Technology has taken notice of the poor mobile service and disruption in social media services across the country.

CHAIRMAN PTA SUMMONED TO PROVIDE REASONS FOR DISRUPTION

Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Information Technology, Syed Aminul Haq, has summoned Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Amir Azeem Bajwa, to provide reasons for the disruption in social media services.

DETAILS ON INTERNET DISRUPTION AND MOBILE SIGNALS ALSO DEMANDED

The Chairman has also directed Chairman PTA to provide details on the disruption of internet services and weak mobile signals across the country. Additionally, reasons for the ban on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok have also been demanded.

ATTORNEY GENERAL SUMMONED TO STANDING COMMITTEE MEETING

The Attorney General of Pakistan has also been summoned to the meeting of the Standing Committee, which will be held on August 21, Wednesday, at the Parliament House
