Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Tando Adam Police, under the leadership of DSP Dr. Muhammad Moosa Abro, conducted a successful operation against drug peddlers. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted a passenger van (registration number JG-0260) near Sim Nala on the Landhi to Tando Adam road.
During the search, the police recovered a large quantity of harmful Gutka worth millions of rupees. The seized items included 10 bags containing 55,000 packets of Safeena Gutka and 20 bags containing 100,000 packets of Adab Gutka.
One suspect, identified as Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, son of Izzat Khan, was arrested on the spot. A case has been registered against him under FIR No. 90/2024, Section 8-5 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act.
The confiscated items have been taken into police custody, and further investigations are underway to dismantle the network involved in the distribution of these harmful substances. This operation reflects the commitment of law enforcement to curb the menace of drug trafficking and protect public health.
