QUETTA: The Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) clinched three seats of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from Quetta district as the result of election of its all nine constituencies were finalized by the concerned returning officers on Friday.
According to the unofficial results. the PPP nominated candidates including Abdul Samad Khan, Ubaidullah and Ali Madad Jatak remained successful on the provincial assembly seats i.e., PB-40, Quetta-III, PB-44, Quetta-VII and PB-45, Quetta VIII respectively.
Abdul Samad Khan grabbed 9,925 votes against HDP’s Qadir Ali who got 5,588 votes.
Ubaidullah Khan and Ali Madad Jatak secured 7,125 and 5,671 votes respectively.
Two independent candidates including Bakht Muhammad and Wali Muhammad Noorzai also won the seats of PB-39, Quetta-II and PB-41, Quetta IV respectively. They got 6,618 and 9,318 votes respectively.
Similarly, Malik Naeem Bazai of Awami National Party (ANP) and Prince Agha Umar Ahmedzai of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and Zarak Khan Mandokhail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) remained successful on the seats of provincial assembly including PB-38, Quetta-I, PB-42, Quetta-V and PB-46, Quetta-IX respectively. Malik Naeem grabbed 7,792 votes and Prince Agha Umar Ahmedzai secured 4,638 votes. Zarak Mandokhail of PML-N obtained 10,423 votes.
It may be mentioned here that Malik Naeem Bazai has retained the seat of provincial assembly in the Elections 2024.
All remaining others including Bakht Muhammad, Abdul Sama, Wali Muhammad, Ubaidullah, Agha Umar Ahmedzai, Zarak Khan Mandokhailhave their made way into the provincial assembly for the first time.
Ali Madad Jatak has also served as the Member Provincial Assembly before.
