QUETTA, AUGUST 29
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee of the National Action Plan in Quetta today, where he vowed to crush the enemies of Pakistan who are trying to spread chaos in Balochistan.
The meeting, attended by top civil and military officials, condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and praised the security forces for their timely response. PM Shehbaz praised the people of Balochistan for their sacrifices and role in national development and construction.
The committee resolved to intensify counter-terrorism efforts in the province and strengthen intelligence sharing and coordination between security forces and law enforcement agencies. The forum also agreed to enhance the capacity of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), police, Levies, and relevant departments.
PM Shehbaz and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir reiterated their commitment to preventing enemy forces from disrupting peace and development in Balochistan at any cost.
The committee expressed its determination to bring the perpetrators, planners, abettors, and facilitators of cowardly attacks to justice and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property at all costs.
At the end of the meeting, PM Shehbaz distributed compensation checks to the families of those martyred in recent terrorist incidents in Balochistan and assured them of complete support and protection from the state
