Patents of 9 refused to anti-polio drops: 21 polio affected children in Balochistan include 16 boys and 5 girls

QUETTA: In all 21 cases of polio virus have been reported from different districts of Balochistan during this year.
According to the Health Department sources, the polio virus affected children are included 16 male and five female.
As per a report of the Health Department, 17 polio affected children are aged three years and above.
One of the polio virus infected child is aged nine months while a girl is aged around 12 years.
It may be mentioned here that 21 polio cases were reported from 11 districts of the province.
A total of six polio cases were reported from Killa Abdullah with three reported from Pishin and two each from Pishin, Zhob and Chaman.
Similarly, one polio case was reported from Killa Saifullah, Dera Bugti, Kharan, Naushki, Jhal Magsi and Loralai.
The Chief Minister Balochistan and other concerned high ups have expressed deep concern over the surge in polio cases in the province.
Meanwhile, in view of the increasing number of polio cases, the anti-polio campaign is scheduled to be launched in the province from October 28, 2024.
