Peshswar – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nominee for Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, stated during a conversation with senior journalists in Peshawar that he is prepared to face arrest if it benefits Pakistan. He emphasized the need for an inquiry into the events of May 9, asserting that his party did not engage in any wrongdoing. Gandapur stressed the importance of advocating for the province’s rights and called for support in this endeavor. He highlighted the necessity of addressing the silence that has led to the current state of affairs in the province. Gandapur also called for an inquiry into why PTI supporters were not prevented from going to Rana Sanaullah’s residence. He acknowledged that FIRs have been lodged against him in nine districts, including Lahore and Mianwali. Despite this, Gandapur urged for moving forward and focusing on institutional reform. He pledged to enact laws to prevent illegal activities and emphasized a commitment to non-retaliation.
