KARACHI: Pakistan Road Runners (PRR) achieved remarkable success in the 4th Women’s Power Run, held on yesterday in Karachi which was organized by Born2Run Pakistan in connection with International Women’s Day. With over 60 participants, PRR’s female runners dominated the event, securing 6 out of the top 10 positions, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication.
The podium finishes included Qandeel Sultan, who claimed the 2nd position with an impressive time of 21:36, followed by Sehrish Qayoum at 3rd with a timing of 22:00, and Mahnoor Fatima at 4th with a time of 22:21. Areesha Kamal secured the 5th position with a timing of 22:40, while Ayesha Bugti and Aqsa Aqeel secured the 9th and 10th positions respectively with times of 25:30 and 26:10.
Under the expert training of senior coach Muhammad Zada, PRR’s female runners showcased not only their physical prowess but also their determination and resilience. This outstanding achievement underscores PRR’s commitment to promoting gender equality and empowerment in sports.
PRR’s success serves as an inspiration for aspiring athletes across Pakistan. The team remains dedicated to providing support and encouragement to its female athletes, fostering an environment where all individuals can thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
