Lahore, Sep. 28, 2024 – Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, has expressed optimism about Pakistan’s economic growth, citing significant progress in the energy sector.
“Pakistan has overcome the challenges of prolonged load-shedding, power shortages, and expensive electricity,” Iqbal stated while addressing the Asia Energy Transition Summit 2024 at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
The minister attributed this success to the government’s efforts under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has initiated large-scale energy projects.
