Faisal Anwar Bhatti, Central Deputy Information Secretary of PML Qayyum, has called for an immediate halt to the Greater Israel project, terming it a top priority for the Muslim Ummah. He proposed an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad to address the escalating tensions. Bhatti condemned Israel’s brutal actions in Gaza, where 42,000 innocent Muslims have lost their lives, and warned that Israel’s sights are now set on Lebanon [1).
Bhatti criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s agenda to eradicate Muslims, emphasizing that Pakistan will not allow this to happen. He questioned the absence of a unified coalition army formed by Islamic countries to protect Muslim nations from terrorist threats. Bhatti also expressed disappointment with the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) for failing to fulfill its purpose, mirroring the ineffectiveness of the OIC.
The situation in Gaza has been marked by human rights violations, with reports of war crimes committed by both sides. Human Rights Watch has verified videos showing deliberate killings by Hamas-led gunmen, highlighting the need for investigation and accountability ¹. The international community must intervene to prevent further escalation and protect civilian lives.
