Over 1.78 billion recovered from defaulters, pilferers as QESCO continues drive

QUETTA: Over 1.78 billion have so far been recovered from the defaulters of the electricity utility bills and arrears and the pilferers during the in the Balochistan province.
According to the spokesman of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO), the campaign against defaulters and pilferers of electricity is continued all over the province.
The spokesman said that 404 more connections of the defaulters were disconnected on non-payment in different parts of the province.
Similarly, eight transformers of defaulters were also removed in Loralai, Pishin and Turbat.
According to the spokesman, over Rs. 1.53 billion have been recovered from 80,263 defaulters while over Rs. 53 million recovered on account of the fine charged on power pilferage and detection.
The QESCO’s campaign would remain continued without any interruption in future too, the spokesman vowed.
