QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that our players are second to none in intelligence and potential, but they need opportunities and necessary facilities.
He was addressing ceremony of All Balochistan Arshad Khan Master Weightlifting Championship at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) here on Wednesday.
The Advisor and Parliamentary Secretary, Nasimur Rehman Musakhail, Mir Asghar Rind, Barkat Ali Rind, Member Provincial Assembly, Ms. Salma Kakar, Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat and Director General of Sports, Dr. Yasir Bazai.
Addressing the participants, the Governor said we have to strengthen the sports sector in the province.
He stressed that equal opportunities should be provided to all talented sports persons so that they may brighten the name of country.
He also said that Pakistan has a big name and place in the world of sports at international level.
He said that the world-fame squash player, Jahangir Khan has been declared as one of the best players of 1,000 years as he maintained his victory in 555 matches. Similarly, the gold medalist Arshad Nadeem brightened the name of country and nation by setting new record.
