QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has regretfully pointed out that our education system is not assonance with the modern requirements, and reiterated his government’s resolve to wipe out corruption from education system first of all.
He stated that absentee teachers are our big issue, and therefore, we are going to terminate around 800 habitual absentee teachers in the education department.
He said that no compromise would be made on merit at all.
The Chief Minister expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of tablets distribution among the students at Chief Minister’s secretariat on Thursday.
The Provincial Minister for Education, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani and other concerned high ups were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister said that the new generation of Balochistan is blessed with excellent talent and capabilities.
However, our education system is not fitting to the modern day requirements, he regretfully pointed out.
He stressed the need to resolve the issues after pinning point them.
He pointed out that around 1.3 million children of the province are still out of schools in the province.
He expressed the hope that there would be positive changes in education department under leadership of the Provincial Minister for Education, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani.
He said that the corruption has shattered our society, and therefore, we are committed to wipe out corruption from the education system.
The Chief Minister sought cooperation of general public in this regard.
He said that action would be taken against cabinet members if found involved in selling of the jobs.
He asserted that either the minister selling jobs would remain in the cabinet or him.
He asked the people to send him the video if anyone demands bribe for jobs.
He also exhorted the students to work hard to excel in studies. He also urged the teachers to motivate students towards acquiring different skills.
The Provincial Minister for Education, Ms. Rahila Hameed Durrani and others also addressed the ceremony.
