NPM PROTESTS IN NASEERABAD OVER RAINWATER DRAGGING FEET

Larkana, August 22,

The National People’s Movement (NPM) staged a protest and sit-in in front of the town committee in Naseerabad city, decrying the administration’s failure to drain rainwater from the city despite five days having passed.

Addressing the protest, central leaders of the Awami Movement, including Comrade Zamir Mughiri, Mohsin Raza Kalhoro, and Inamullah, lamented that the stagnant rainwater has become a breeding ground for diseases, resulting in numerous hospitalizations of innocent children.

The protesters criticized the town committee’s management, pointing out that despite an annual budget of 57 crores, the city remains filthy, with garbage heaps forming everywhere. They accused the chairman of the town committee of being indifferent to the situation.

The NPM demanded immediate action to address the rainwater drainage issue and ensure the cleanliness and health of the city.
