QUETTA: The President National Party (NP), Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has stated that although we have decided to vote to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Asif Ali Zardari, still his party would sit in the opposition.
The NP president was speaking to the media persons before the process of polling for the Presidential election in the provincial assembly on Saturday.
He made it clear that there is no confusion and doubt that National party would act the role of opposition in the provincial assembly.
However, on the matter of presidential election, there was divided opinion, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch maintained. He said that since our party is a democratic party. There was lot of deliberations on the matter as to whom to cast vote in the presidential election. After deliberations, majority of the members of party decided to vote to Asif Ali Zardari in the election, he added.
He said that we decided to vote to Asif Ali Zardari on condition of implementation on our eight points.
