No final agreement reached between GoB & PPL on extension in lease, says Spokesman Shahid Rind

QUETTA: The Spokesman, Government of Balochistan, Shahid Rind has categorically stated that no final agreement has been reached between the provincial government and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) on the extension in lease, however, they (provincial government & PPL) are engaged in talks in this regard.
In an official statement issued here on Tuesday regarding the extension in the lease agreement, the spokesman said that final agreement has not been finalized between between the provincial government and PPL yet.
He said that the provincial government has made it clear to the PPL administration to hold the interests of masses on high esteem in the proposed agreement.
He said that PPL is bound to play role for social development of the site areas according to the international and country’s standards.
The spokesman said that the Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti put forth the stance of provincial government in meeting with the Chief of PPL.
The spokesman asserted that the extension in the lease agreement has been made conditional with public aspirations, and as such any decision would be made with their consultation.
