Newly elected Chief Minister urges people on mountain to come back and join mainstream

QUETTA: The newly elected Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has urged the “people on mountains” to come back and join the national mainstream.
He said that we are ready to talk to the angry people and want them to become part of mainstream.
He said that whatever has to be acquired by us, it is to be acquired from this House (Balochistan Assembly), not through gun.
He said that dialogue is the policy of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and we believe in it to resolve the issues.
However, we would not be making any compromise on restoration of peace all. He also said that we have to correct the province, this would not be done by any other coming from outside.
He said that the elimination of terrorism is possible through dialogue and deterrence.
These and similar other views were expressed by the Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti while delivering his maiden speech after his election as Chief Minister at the provincial assembly session on Saturday afternoon.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that Balochistan is confronting three major challenges at the moment. The first challenge being confronted is the good governance, second is of law and order and third challenge the province is confronting is of climate change.
He said that Balochistan is custodian of traditions, and as such we would not forget our traditions.
He made pledge to work for betterment of educational institutions and health system in the province. He said that he would not be sitting with ease until and unless real issues are resolved.
He said that he would take up the issues of Balochistan with center to get them resolved.
The newly elected Chief Minister asserted that the province has every resource, what is lacking is the road map to utilize these resources.
He assured the House that vacancies would not be sold out in the province, nor anyone would be allowed to violate the merit.
He made commitment to become voice of rights of the province and change its fate urging the members of assembly to join hands with him to do so.
Earlier, he said that he was candidate of the party (PPP) in 2008, which he is representing in the House today.
He said that if any party can save the country, it is Pakistan Peoples Party.
He also said that all the issues would be resolved under public-private partnership. In addition to this, we would also be increasing the provincial tax net.
Moreover, the youth would be motivated towards technical education in the province, adding he pledged.
