New era of development & prosperity to begin in Balochistan with completion of several important federal projects: CM

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated that new era of development and prosperity would begin in the province with completion of several important projects included in the federal public sector development programme (PSDP).
The important projects included in the federal PSDP are included Kachhi canal and Karachi-Quetta dual highway.
The Chief Minister said that there would also be improvement in the transportation and communication contacts with completion of the timely completion of Karachi-Quetta highway.
He said that the provincial government wants complete implementation on the federal government projects in the province so that the people may benefit from these projects.
The Chief Minister was speaking to the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal after meeting of the National Economic Council in Islamabad on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Also present on the occasion was the Provincial Minister for planning and development, Mir Zahoor Buledi.
During the meeting, the matters about expediting pace of development projects in Balochistan were discussed besides implementation on them.
The Chief Minister on the occasion stressed the need to ensure timely release of the necessary funds for the federal projects in Balochistan.
In addition to this, he also stressed that there is a need to accelerate speed of work on the projects which are already approved by the planning commission.
