National Party Delegation Meets Director General Fisheries Balochistan

Gwadar, Oct. 8,- A delegation of National Party, led by Provincial Fisheries Secretary Adam Kadir Bakhsh, met with Director General Fisheries Balochistan, Imran Ibrahim Bangulzai, at his office in Gwadar.

The delegation, comprising Zubair Hot, District Contact Secretary, and Abdul Qadir Baloch, Senior Leader of National Party Gwadar, discussed key issues affecting the fisheries sector, including:

– Illegal trawling
– Use of banned nets
– Marine life conservation
– Illegal hunting of game fish
– Upgradation of Fisheries Department’s force
– Protection of fishermen’s livelihood

Director General Imran Bangulzai assured the delegation that the department is taking comprehensive measures to curb illegal fishing. He announced:

– New gunboats will be purchased
– Old gunboats are being repaired
– Tender process to begin next month
– Fisheries Department’s force has been declared
– Department has purchased arms and will conduct regular patrolling
– Long-standing issues of Ormara fishermen resolved, government funds released for distribution

The meeting aimed to address concerns and promote sustainable fishing practices in Balochistan.
