The National Party’s district spokesperson in Gwadar has strongly denounced the Coast Guards’ violence against unarmed citizens in Jiwani, Chatti, Ganj, and Pawan. The spokesperson termed the actions of law enforcement agencies as “thoughtless” and emphasized that shutting down employment opportunities while also denying people their right to livelihood is unacceptable.

The border trade supports the livelihoods of millions, and its closure will only exacerbate feelings of deprivation. Criticizing the Coast Guards for using violence against civilians, including women, the spokesperson stressed that this behavior is condemnable.

The National Party expressed deep concern over the situation and demanded that action be taken against those responsible for the violence. They also called for the simplification of border trade to prevent further economic hardship.

The incident highlights the need for law enforcement agencies to protect citizens rather than infringe upon their rights. Ensuring the well-being and safety of the people is paramount.¹
