QUETTA: The speakers at the national dialogue and seminar on the anniversary of 8th August tragedy have underlined the need to have social consciousness and contract for development and prosperity of the country and nation besides increasing the collective wisdom and farsightedness.
Otherwise, the way of social deterioration can’t be stopped because of the social drought.
They were of the opinion that the 8th August tragedy of lawyers have played vital role for the book loving and thoughtful and knowledgeable dialogue.
They questioned about non-implementation on the recommendations of the Judicial commission formed for inquiry of the August 8 tragedy.
They said that until and unless there is rule of law and constitution, the country can’t be put on the path of development and prosperity.
They said that the situation being created in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhaw is not a good omen. Under the prevailing circumstances, the judiciary and parliament have to play their role for rule of constitution and law in the country.
The speakers belonging to different walks of the life said that the lawyers have waged long struggle for supremacy of the constitution and law. The sacrifices rendered by the people would not let wasted at all.
These views were expressed by former Chief Minister and President National Party, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, former Governor, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, senior leader of PTI, Sher Afzal Marwat, senior leader of Balochistan National Party, Sanaullah Baloch, Chairman of Pashtoonkhaw National Awami Party, Khushhal Khan Kakar, provincial President of ANP, Asghar Khan Achakzai, provincial Chairman of National Democratic Party, Ahmed Jan, Provincial Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islam, Abdul Haq Hashmi, leader of JUI, Rehmatullah Kakar, provincial President of PTI, Dawood Shah Kakar, member National Assembly, Changez Khan Kakar, Malik Amanullah Kakar, president Balochistan Bar Association, Muhammad Afzal Harifal, Chairman, Shaheed Baz Muhammad Foundation, Dr. Lal Khan Kakar, General Secretary, Abdul Mateen Akhunzada and others while addressing national dialogue and seminar on the 8th August tragedy organised at a local hotel here the other day.
All the speakers paid rich tributes to the lawyers, media persons and other persons martyred in the tragic incident of terrorism on August 8, 2016.
They said that the lawyers martyred by the terrorists were the builders of future of Pakistan. They said that the terrorists had conspired to keep the province backward by martyring the lawyers but our leaders proved by waging long struggle that they didn’t make compromise on the principles.
Our lawyers also followed the footsteps of their elders and didn’t make any compromise on the principles, they said adding that the 8th August 2016 was the blackest day of the country’s history, which can’t be forgotten.
They recalled that we were given the bodies of more than 70 educated and conscious people eight years before.
They paid homage to Bilal Anwar Kasi, Baz Muhammad Kakar and other lawyers on this day.
They said that the vacuum created due to the martyrdom of lawyers couldn’t be filled in yet.
They said that the martyrdom of these lawyers is the black spot on the judicial and justice system of the country.
They questioned that why the recommendations of the judicial inquiry commission couldn’t be implemented?
The judicial commission report had identified the negligence in implementation on it’s recommendations and poor state policy. They regretfully pointed out that no action was taken against those committed negligence in this regard. They said that the judiciary should implement the recommendations of the judicial commission. The speakers expected from Chief Justice Mr Justice Qazi Faez Isa to provide justice to the heirs of martyrs.
