Mr. Abid Lashari, CEO of Pakistan Down Syndrome Association, Meets Chief Minister of Sindh to Announce Inauguration of New Rehabilitation Center in Gulshan e Hadeed Karachi
Karachi: In a significant development for children with intellectual disabilities, Abid Lashari, CEO of the Pakistan Down Syndrome Association (PDSA), met with Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, during a recent ceremony in Karachi. During the meeting, Mr. Lashari extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to inaugurate a new unit of the DEPD-PDSA Rehabilitation Center in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Karachi. The Chief Minister graciously accepted the invitation, marking his commitment to the cause and agreeing to participate in the inauguration event, scheduled for November.
The new DEPD-PDSA Rehabilitation Center in Gulshan-e-Hadeed is dedicated to providing free, high-quality rehabilitation services for children with intellectual disabilities, including Down syndrome. Established in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, the center offers a comprehensive support system for children and families in need, underscoring PDSA’s commitment to accessible and inclusive care.
