Karachi, August 24, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQMP) senior leader Dr. Farooq Sattar has criticized the government for its prejudice against Karachi, despite the city’s significant contributions to the country’s revenue.
“Karachi, which generates 90% of Sindh’s and 60% of the country’s revenue, is the backbone of Pakistan. However, the rulers have given nothing to this city except for prejudice,” Dr. Sattar said during a ceremony at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
He also lamented the neglect of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, which was once a top-notch medical facility. “We had made this hospital the best in Karachi, but the feudals and landlords of Sindh have turned it into ruins,” he added.
Dr. Sattar also vowed that those who have looted the country will be held accountable in the future. “We need to establish a system where educated youth take charge of this country and take it to the heights that our ancestors dreamed of,” he emphasized.
The ceremony was organized by the United Medical Aid Committee to celebrate Independence Day and launch a tree-planting campaign.
