Moscow (UNA) – The Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies UNA Mohammed bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami met with the Director General of the Russian TASS News Agency

Moscow (UNA) – The Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies UNA Mohammed bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami met with the Director General of the Russian TASS News Agency, Andrey Kondrashov, on the sidelines of the “BRICS Media Summit” held in the Russian capital, Moscow, during the period September 13-17, 2024.

During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between TASS and the Union were discussed within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the two parties, which would enhance news exchange between the Union’s member news agencies and the media in Russia, and organize training programs for the benefit of media professionals in the OIC countries.

It is noteworthy that the Union is currently participating in the “BRICS Media Summit”, which is witnessing wide participation of heads of leading media organizations in the BRICS group, as well as media outlets from countries that have expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the group.

The summit’s discussion sessions include discussions on the role of the BRICS media community in promoting stability in a multipolar world, as well as the technological aspects of information interaction among BRICS countries.
