QUETTA: The caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai has pointed out that Afghanistan is exporting terrorism to the world, which is a very dangerous trend.
He said that the incidents of terrorism in Pakistan have linkages with Afghanistan.
Around 1,000 people including 260 security personnel have rendered sacrifices of their lives for the cause of protection of life and property of the masses besides safeguarding the country’s frontiers.
More than 500,000 illegal immigrants have so far been repatriated to their country Afghanistan till December 31, 2023.
These and similar information were shared and views expressed by the Minister for Information while addressing a scheduled press conference here at the civil secretariat on Monday.
The Minister Information noted that the law enforcement agencies made certain achievements against terrorism during the year 2023.
He said that 566 terrorists were killed in different operations carried out by the security forces during the previous year.
He went on to declare that the terrorism occurring in Pakistan have links in Afghanistan.
Jan Achakzai said that the sacrifices of over 1,000 people including 260 personnel martyred in different operations and acts of terrorism would always be remembered, he maintained.
The caretaker Minister on the occasion informed that some 18,000 intelligence based operations were conducted in the country during the year 2023.
He on the occasion claimed that more than 5,000 terrorists have been apprehended in the country while 109 terrorists have been killed in different operations conducted in the province.
Undoubtedly the armed forces of the country have taken numerous measures for making the country hub of peace, Jan Achakzai commended adding that the armed forces would continue the war against terrorism till elimination of last terrorist, with support of the masses.
He informed that the process of repatriation of illegal immigrants remained continued during the last year, and would continue in the future as well.
Over 500,000 illegal Afghan immigrants have so far been repatriated to their homeland till December 31, 2023.
Jan Achakzai asserted that no one could cross the border without passport after enforcement of the condition of passport.
