MONSOON SEASON BEGINS IN NASIRABAD DIVISION, IRRIGATION DEPARTMENT TAKES PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Nasirabad, August 17, The monsoon season has started in Nasirabad Division, and the Irrigation Department is taking precautionary measures to prevent flooding and damage to crops. Executive Engineer Irrigation and Drainage, Mudassar Zafar Khosa, visited the site of the main drain RD-6 in Dargah Molvi Qadir Bakhsh, Sahibpur, to inspect the repair work of the breaches in the drain and the Manjhoti Canal.

Khosa was accompanied by SDO Abid Ali Khosa and Government Contractor Riyaz Ahmed Khosa. The Government Contractor briefed Khosa on the measures being taken to strengthen the embankments at various locations. Khosa directed the staff to complete the work effectively and efficiently, especially in areas where there is a risk of flooding.

Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Mir Muhammad Sadique Umrani, and Provincial Secretary for Irrigation, Hafiz Abdul Majid, are closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of the monsoon rains. The staff is working diligently to fulfill their responsibilities.
