QUETTA: The security and other necessary arrangements were reviewed and finalized for the processions and gatherings of 12th Rabiul Awwal, Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) in Quetta city.
In this context, a meeting was held with Deputy Commissioner, Lt. (Retd) Saad bin Asad in the chair the other day.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), SP Security, officers of the Frontier Corps (FC), high ups and representatives of the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, WASA, Health Department, traders as well as the religious leaders and representatives of the civil society.
The Deputy Commissioner was briefed about the security of the processions and gatherings to be organized marking the Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) celebrations in Quetta.
It was informed that the ambulances would be made available by the Health Department along the route of main Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) procession.
Moreover, a medical camp would also be set up at the Bacha Khan chowk, as was informed in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Quetta announced that the mobile phone service would remain suspended on 12th Rabiul Awwal falls on September 17, in Quetta.
In addition to this, all the shops and business concerns would be sealed on the routes of Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) processions including Shahrah-e-Iqbal, Liaquat Bazaar, Prince road and Fatima Jinnah road.
The FC and police personnels would perform their duties and keep patrolling on the routes of processions.
The walk through gates would also be installed at the main routes of the processions of Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW).
Moreover, the emergency would also remain enforced in the Bolan Medical Complex, Civil Sandeman and Benazir Shaheed Hospitals. All the doctors and medical staff would remain present on their duties on the occasion, he directed adding that the leaves of Metropolitan Corporation and district administration have also been cancelled with the directives to remain present at their respective duty places.
