Moazzam Ja Ansari, a grade 22 police officer from Quetta, has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of Balochistan Police. This marks his second stint as IG Balochistan and third overall.
in Quetta, began his career in the Balochistan Police in 1988 through the Balochistan Public Service Commission. He later passed the CSS exam in 1989 and was appointed as ASP. Ansari has also served as IG in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As the new IG Balochistan, Ansari will lead the provincial police force in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and combating crime. His experience and expertise are expected to bring positive changes to the police force and the province.
