The main work of engineers is to ensure quality by reviewing development schemes, despite non-standard work, a report will be sent against negligent engineers. A committee will be formed to review the quality of the schemes, the bills will be passed after the quality assurance certificate. These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Agha Sher Zaman while presiding over the meeting regarding the development schemes of Mari Petroleum Company’s production bonus and social welfare fund. The Deputy Manager of Mari Petroleum Company, CSR Colonel Retired Farooq Azam and DHO, Public Health Department, Education Works, Roads and Building Engineers participated in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that a committee will be formed to review the quality of the ongoing development schemes from the Mari Petroleum Company’s fund and lab tests will also be conducted as per the need, while the quality certification certificate will be issued. Bills will be passed on the basis of the report of the relevant committee. Therefore, all the engineers should review their own schemes, improve the non-standard works and provide a comprehensive report on all the schemes. He said that the Maari company has concerns about the quality of the GT Road construction, if the work is not improved, action will be taken against the concerned officials as per the law. He warned the officers of the Public Health Department and said that inactive RO plants should be made active as soon as possible. Earlier, Deputy Manager CSR Colonel Retired Farooq Azam told the Deputy Commissioner that 264 schemes have been approved in the first phase and 60 schemes in the second phase from the production bonus and social welfare fund of Mari Petroleum Company.
