Mir Sarfraz Bugti says provincial government working with diligence for Establishing good governance and improving service delivery system

QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet has approved settlement of the government owned land under the Green Corporation Partnership Project in the province.
The cabinet also imposed ban on new recruitments in all public sector universities of the province.
In this regard, the Chief Minister expressed concern over the rapid recruitments and construction of new buildings in the public sector universities saying that at the time where the universities are not having enough money to pay salaries to their employees, abrupt recruitments are being made and new buildings are being built there.
The provincial cabinet took the above decisions in it’s fourth meeting held with the Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti in the chair on Monday morning.
The provincial ministers, advisors and senior high ups of the provincial governments were in attendance at the meeting.
The cabinet also constituted a special committee for review of the Public Sector Universities Act and making its comparison with other provinces.
The committee would be comprised: Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Provincial Minister Livestock, Bakht Muhammad Kakar and Secretary Higher Education.
It was decided in the meeting that the committee would prepare its recommendations within a week.
Addressing the cabinet, the Chief Minister said that the provincial government is working with diligence for establishing good governance and improving service delivery system in the province. In addition to this, reforms are being brought for improvement in different provincial government departments, he added.
The Chief Minister said that it is important to set right direction more than time. We have to implement the things after choosing right direction.
He also stressed that we have to prepare such strategy that may benefit the coming generations.
He said that we have to take decisions on merit setting aside the personal interests and expediencies.
He said that we have never refused to provide resources to the public sector universities, but it is necessary to establish effective system of check and balance.
He said that the matters are disappointing, if take review of the quality as compared to the resources provided to them.
