QUETTA: The first batch of skilled youth would be sent abroad from Balochistan for employments in March next year. In addition to this, the unskilled persons would also be sent in foreign countries from the province from December 2025.
This information was shared during briefing on the development of the Youth Skills Development Programme to the Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti here on Wednesday.
The Advisor to Chief Minister for Labour and Manpower, Sardar Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Labour, Director General B-TEVTA and other concerned high ups were in attendance.
During the briefing, the progress on implementation on the Youth Skills Development Programme was reviewed.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister directed to expedite implementation on the youth skills development programme.
He on the occasion assured that the provision of jobs would also ensured after skills training to the youth.
He directed to the concerned authorities to make the driving school in Kuchlak functional immediately.
He also directed to B-TEVTA to complete training of 100 heavy drivers in the first phase so as to send them Oman.
During the course of briefing, it was also informed that registration of 200 children of labourers has been completed for admission in higher educational institutions after their identification.
Besides, 200 more children are being registered, it was informed adding that 400 children would be sent for admission in different educational institutions by July 15.
The Chief Minister regretfully pointed out that the number of registered labourers is less than actual data in the province.
He directed to the Labour and Manpower department to collect the correct data of the labourers through special inspection and survey and then register them.
He also noted with concern that most of the labourers are not paid the wage duly approved by the government.
He asserted that we would not let anyone exploit the labourers.
