Islamabad, August 30, – National Party’s elected member of the National Assembly, Mir Pohlean Baloch, addressed the National Assembly, saying that the solution to Balochistan’s problem is not a military operation but a political dialogue.
He suggested convening a grand jirga comprising all representative political parties of Pakistan to discuss and find a solution to the problem. He criticized a former military ruler for igniting a fire in Balochistan, which everyone is cursing.
Mir Pohlean Baloch mentioned a recent tragic incident in Mastung where the Deputy Commissioner of Panjgur was killed and the district chairman was injured, who is still under treatment. However, the investigation into the matter has not been made public.
He also condemned recent incidents of terrorism in which civilians were targeted, reiterating that killing anyone on linguistic basis is not justified, whether they are Baloch or anyone else.
