QUETTA: The senior leader of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and former Member National Assembly, Nawabzada Khalid Khan Magsi was elected as central President of the party (BAP) unopposed.
The election of Nawabzada Khalid Khan Magsi was made as President of BAP during the meeting of central council of the party held at Balochistan Boy Scouts Association Headquarters here on Sunday evening.
The founding leaders of BAP including Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali, Senator Manzoor Ahmed Kakar, Sardar Muhammad Saleh Bhotani, Senator Prince Agha Umar Ahmedzai, Ms. Rubina Irfan, Ms. Zubaida Jalal, Sardar Israr Tareen and others participated in the central council meeting.
The outgoing President and former Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo didn’t turn up to attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, addressing the closing session of central council, the newly elected President of BAP Nawabzada Khalid Magsi said that the party was formed to represent the province at the federal level.
He said that BAP experienced very hard for five years besides witnessing certain infatuations during that period.
However, the party played historic role during the political crisis confronted the country in past, Mr. Magsi maintained.
He said that we would remain connected with the same spirit in future.
Meanwhile, the newly elected President of BAP announced to nominate Kohda Babar as the party’s spokesman and secretary Information.
Earlier, the secretary General of BAP, Manzoor Kakar congratulated Nawabzada Khalid Magsi on his election as new president of party.
