Minister of Education Rana Sikandar Hayat met the teachers of non-formal schools and informed about their professional problems and difficulties. The teacher also informed the provincial minister about not getting salaries for the last 10 months and requested him to take immediate action in this regard. Rana sikandar hayat on the occasion contacted secretary non formal education and conducted a detailed consultation on the sensitivity of the matter. While discussing the problems of teachers, the education minister instructed secretary literacy to take emergency measures for the immediate resolution of the problem and to ensure payment of 10 months ‘salaries and other dues to teachers in the next 20 to 30 days, saying that teachers are like a backbone in our educational system. Timely redressal of their problems is our responsibility. Rana sikandar hayat said that serious steps are being taken to solve the teacher’s problems. In this regard, work is being done on creating a teacher compilation portal and citizen compilation portal to inform the teacher’s problems. They will not be allowed to lose their rights and will not sit with China until redressal of abuses committed with teachers in last 5 years. The education minister said that steps would be taken on every forum to address other issues including teachers’ salaries. He added that the abuses committed by the previous government with teachers and educational system are not hidden from anyone. The last government helped grow by encouraging buti Mafia and books Mafia. Today, due to abusive behavior with teachers and educational system, teachers of non-formal schools are deprived of legitimate rights like salaries for the last 10 months.
