Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal recently spoke at the World Islamic Finance Forum 2024, emphasizing the importance of Islamic finance in promoting economic growth and development.
Minister Iqbal highlighted that Islamic finance is based on Shariah principles, providing a fair and just system for all stakeholders. He also noted that Islamic finance has the potential to promote financial inclusion, reduce poverty, and support sustainable development.
The minister also discussed the role of Islamic finance in supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He emphasized that Islamic finance can play a key role in promoting sustainable development, reducing inequality, and supporting climate change mitigation efforts.
