Message from the Minister for Human Rights on National Minority Day – 11th August

As we celebrate Minorities Day on 11th August, we are reminded of the golden words of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah: “You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan.”

In pursuance of Quaid’s dream, today let us reaffirm our commitment to ensuring equality and access to all fundamental rights for every citizen of Pakistan, irrespective of faith, color, caste, race, or religion.

We take immense pride in the representation and contributions of our minorities in all spheres of life. Their involvement strengthens our resolve and inspires us to continue building a pluralistic and tolerant society, a vision beautifully manifested in our national flag.
