Message from the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan on Kashmir Exploitation Day

Independent Report. Gilgit. Aug 04
Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Haji Gulbar Khan, has issued a special message on Kashmir Exploitation Day, stating that August 5, 2019, marks the day when India took illegal and unilateral actions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The international community has been indifferent to India’s inhumane actions against the oppressed Kashmiri people.

The Chief Minister said that India is continuously violating the Geneva Convention and UN Security Council resolutions, depriving Kashmiris of their basic rights. India’s so-called democracy has been exposed to the world. The Indian government is shamelessly promoting its Hindu nationalist agenda to change the demographic structure of occupied Kashmir.

The Chief Minister urged the international community and the United Nations to play their role instead of remaining silent and watching the atrocities committed by India against the oppressed people of Kashmir. He emphasized that human rights and freedom are the rights of the people of occupied Kashmir. The government and people of Gilgit-Baltistan will continue to support their oppressed Kashmiri brothers and sisters and raise their voice against Indian atrocities on every platform.
